Family fun: Juice box monsters

Dear friend,

I love Friday afternoons. My little man is free from school and we get some one on one time. A couple of weeks ago I had the realisation that I was wasting these special moments with food shopping, ironing and the like when what I really wanted to do was play with my son. So I have made a decision to put aside Friday afternoon for fun! Here is what we got up to making Juice box monsters from Trash 2 Treasure.

I bought the kit from a budget shop for less than 3 euros so in all truth wasn't expecting too much but the materials were really good quality. Instructions were also provided in different languages.

The box contained 3 separate packs to make the 3 monsters.
A good idea as the little man had had enough after making two so we saved one for another day.

He wanted to start with the green and orange monster.

The contents of the pack.
The materials were good quality, the paper was thick.
I liked how they included the double sided sticky tape.

The little man was happy to get started sticking glue on the box.

We had a problem getting the pom poms to stick on the pipe cleaners
and ended up wrapping the pipe cleaners around them.

The little man needed patience to get the pieces to stick with the glue.
The double sided sticky tape worked much better but was too fiddly for little fingers.

The finished product looked great and the little man was happy with it too.

Monster number 2 for the big lad. This one was fiddly as it had lots of spots to stick on
and it was difficult to peel off the backing paper. He did get a little bored at this point.

With a little help from mummy he did it!

Celebrating with Monster faces.
Overall I thought the Trash 2 treasure pack was great value and the finished product looked fantastic. But little fingers will definitely need a lot of help with this one.
